A very warm welcome to Jardin de la Maison Rose. Situated on the edge of an historic town of Bourganeuf 23400, in the Limousin region of France.
We’re about to go into our fourth year of this garden and renovation project of an hundred and fifty year old house. Not a task for the faint hearted. This journey with all it’s challenges is slowly beginning to take shape, which now enables us to share a few of those milestones and forth coming events within this website.
I remember Richard Stubbs (from David Austin Roses UK, whilst planning/choosing the roses for the garden) saying to me at the very start of this project, “A garden will take as long as it takes, Mother Nature does not rush anything yet still get’s the job done”. Such wise words that have often come back to my mind, on more than one occasion.
Jardin de la Maison Rose opened to the public on the 9th July 2017 for cream teas and light lunches. Set in a walled garden filled with David Austin Roses and lots of other lovely plants/cuttings & seeds given or exchanged to us by many of our amazing customers and fellow gardeners. We look forward to seeing them all bloom in 2018.
In the Autumn of 2017 we became a stockist of David Austin Roses and look forward to helping you choose your ideal selection of roses suitable for your gardening needs.
Also in August 2018 we teamed up with the lovely Jules Smith from Your French Country House and started stocking Frenchic Paints. Perfect for all your up-cycling projects – we know how much you love to make those Junk buys into Jewels.
Looking forward to hearing your chatter and laughter ringing out around Jardin de la Maison Rose in 2018. And creating some more steps towards our dreams.
That’s me signing off for now…
