We always look forward to the months of May and June when our Wedding Day rose (planted 4 years ago now) just bursts into flower, hundreds of them all over the gazebo at the entrance to Jardin de la Maison Rose, it’s spectacular. The perfume is exceptionally fragrant and is amazing as you walk under it.
The Wedding Day rose is a prolific grower that climbs to a great height, flowering in huge clusters, with apricot buds, which open to creamy yellow blooms, quickly turning white.
We’d highly recommend this rose if you’re looking to cover a pergola, shed or wall, such a shame it’s not repeat flowering although the leaves form a great bit of shade if over a gazebo like ours. Wedding Day certainly makes it’s presents felt when it does bloom.
